Selecting the correct member type is important so that benefits flow from current members to their LVTs. This way their LVTs will be able to login to the CE content using benefits that come from their veterinarians.
Setup for a Hospital that is a Master Account
The Hospital receives member benefits from the veterinarian, and these flow down to the LVTs.
When the join/renewal invoice is created for the hospital, it automatically updates the expiry date for both the veterinarians working for the hospital and the hospital itself.

In this case the Veterinarian is paying the dues. The hospital doesn't need a member type, since it inherits benefits from the veterinarian. But the LVT then inherits benefits from the hospital.
Setup for a business - like a sponsor or exhibitor
In this situation there is no flow of benefits. The veterinarian may join independently
