Novi Event setup for Mailchimp and Zoom integration

If these procedures are followed then you will be able to:

  • Create Mailchimp emails from Novi Events at the touch of a button
  • Create Zoom webinars from Novi Events at the touch of a button
  • Automatically award CEs when a webinar finishes
  • Generate a list that shows the status of each event including emails sent and scheduled

How to setup Novi Events to enable automations

Here are some guidelines for the event setup in Novi that must be followed:

  • Only use the Primary Details (Long Description) for text information that will be in the Mailchimp email
  • Never include information like Price, date or location in the Primary Details Box
  • You can always put other information into secondary details
  • Make sure the ticket names are self explanatory as they will appear in the event email

Do not include in the long description box. People can get that by replying to the email or going to the website

What other settings are required?

Event Location: For a webinar use the following:

"Zoom Webinar: Your login details will come direct from zoom. Please check you receive them soon after you register. We will send them again one-hour before the webinar."

Event Contact: Choose non-member and enter

How to Create a MailChimp Email from a Novi Event

Go to the form above (or here) and enter the Novi Event API ID.

To create an email - select "email" and also enter the template name.   See available templates

The email will then appear in Mailchimp.

To create a webinar simply select webinar instead and adjust settings as desired.
